Alex Nickerson, NCSO, CHSR, owner of Nickerson Safety Inc., continues to build on more than a decade of experience working with consultants, engineers, designers, and builders to mitigate risk to workers and diminish company liability in construction, industrial, commercial and institutional settings.

Having observed negative outcomes resulting from lack of training, poor leadership, ineffective controls, and inadequate supervision on-site, the Health and Safety Training and Consulting protocols that Alex has developed are not only designed to satisfy requirements of the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act, R.S.O. 1990 and its Regulations, but are founded upon a philosophy of instilling an Internal Responsibility System to all workplace parties, such that everyone remains safe and therefore businesses and worksites remain productive.

Alex holds an abundance of relevant and exclusive accreditations, certifications and licenses in Health and Safety as well as other construction and industrial operations, including CPO Working at Heights and TSSA Propane for Roofing and Construction Heat.

Alex lends his expertise as part of an Agricultural and Horticultural Advisory Committee to discuss safety in farming, and he also devotes time as a health and safety Board advisor for a large children’s camp, as well as a member of the Construction & Site Committee.

Alex’s enthusiasm, love of teaching, and real-life experience enable him to lead workers and management on an effective journey of both theoretical and practical safety training.
